Please note that you will receive a full coloured program on arrival at the festival.

WORKSHOP AND PRESENTATION SPACES

You do not need to book but please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop or talk. There are limited numbers for each event. Please wait at the entrance for the facilitator to usher you in. Most workshops run multiple times over the weekend, if you can’t make one session, join for the next. The second sessions are often less crowded. See timetable and descriptions in the program.

We will create vibrant, imaginative art and craft spaces where our inspiring facilitators and teachers will help you produce individual pieces for you to take home and cherish.

Crafting a Clay Sacred Yoni

Sunday 8:30am – 4:30pm

When we use our hands to create we heal and transform – this workshop honours the sacred portal that is the Yoni by using clay, healing herbs, crystals and other elements from nature to create a unique representation of the Yoni to take home.  

Kirrilee Heartman           

Kirrilee and Yia have presented Crafting a Sacred Yoni at Seven Sisters Festival twice before. Kirrilee runs workshops in various handcraft modalities, and Yia is a Ceremonialist/Counsellor. Joining us are Raven and Yvonne, both experienced facilitators of various women’s spaces and groups.

Modern Qigong for Well-being

Qigong is a mindful movement therapy from ancient China, in this workshop we’ll explore how this powerful practice can complement your modern lifestyle. You’ll learn a short sequence of 5 movements that release tension and optimise vitality.

Nicole Lee is an internationally accredited Qigong Teacher. She teaches Modern Qigong – a form accessible to all ages and levels of fitness. Nicole also trains people to teach the Modern Qigong form, in addition to teaching Classical Qigong and other Meditative practices.

Joy Serwylo has been playing with fabric for one purpose or another most of her life, from large textile quilts to cloth baskets. She has made miniature dolls, spirit dolls, angels and monsters by the thousands!

Cathy has over 15 years dance experience and is a qualified teacher who spends her spare time watching 70s film clip and developing funky disco moves to bring joy and happiness to women across Melbourne.  She runs DiscoRobics classes and has successfully brought GoDisco to a range of events for crowds of up to 120 people (She even co-hosted  the first Melbourne ‘Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever’ teaching and leading up to 2000 people through the iconic dance).
