Terms of Use:

 

Seven Sisters Festival (“Festival”) is presented by Seven Sisters Family Trust (ABN 731 354 577 848) (“Organiser”).

 

Tickets, stall or contributor fees which are sold, gifted or allocated by the Festival on the express condition that the holder is bound to the following terms and conditions of sale and entry, which form part of the contract between Seven Sisters Festival, the purchaser and the ticket holder (referred to as the ‘holder’).

 

The Terms and Conditions of Sale and Entry include the following. Please be aware these apply to all visitors – with and without a valid ticket – to the venue for the Festival.

REFUNDS:

  1. A change in personal circumstances (interest, medical, work or family related) of the holder does not entitle the return or exchange of the wristband.
  2. Tickets and other expenses associated with the festival will not be refunded in whole or in part under any circumstances including, but not limited to, ticket holders being asked or forced to leave, holders deciding not to attend any portion of the Festival, the possible non-appearance of any particular person, expected by the holder, whether advertised or not.

Holders agree that Seven Sisters Festival, and their agents and servants, are not liable for acts of God, the weather, strikes, protests, fires, pandemics or actions taken by government agencies and similar causes beyond the reasonable control of Seven Sisters Festival and understand festivals and other expenses will not be refunded in whole or in part in these circumstances. Aspects including but not limited to programming, ticket price and capacity are subject to change at any time without notice. Seven Sisters Festival reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Festival for any reason. Any valid refunds will not include the booking fee.

Holders should carefully consider the refund and cancellation policies of travel, accommodation and other goods or service providers when making arrangements for attendance at the Festival. Holders may also wish to consider taking out a relevant insurance policy to cover for any losses in the event of cancellation, rescheduling or relocation.

WRISTBANDS

Lost, stolen, missing or damaged wristbands will not be replaced.

Wristbands only provide access to the areas indicated by signage and/or enforced by authorised security and staff at the Festival.

Wristbands must be worn around the wrist of the holder for the duration of the Festival. Once the holder has arrived at the Festival, the holder’s wristband cannot then be shared or transferred to anyone else. All visitors are required to stop and show their wristband when requested by authorised staff. Once a wristband is removed it becomes void. For security purposes wristbands remain the property of Seven Sisters Festival at all times until the advertised gates closing time of the Festival.

ENTRY & TRANSPORT

The right of admission is reserved and subject to the discretion of Seven Sisters Festival. Entry to the venue is only permitted to holders who agree to have their person, vehicle and belongings searched for glass, gas bottles and other banned items. Banned items are confiscated and not returned.

Transport to and from the venue will be operated by independent/private parties. Any claims including but not limited to accident, injury and damage resulting from transport should be directed to the third party. Holders agree Seven Sisters Festival is not liable for the consequences of any lengthy delays at any time including but not limited to entry to and departure from venue

Seven Sisters Festival takes no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property, equipment and vehicles before, during or after the Festival. All vehicles, trailers, campers etc. must be registered with VicRoads (or equivalent) and roadworthy.

TERMS

The terms and conditions that apply to any particular transaction will be the published terms and conditions at the time the transaction was finalised. Subject to the preceding sentence, Seven Sisters Festival may alter or change the terms and conditions as they appear on our website from time to time, effective immediately upon posting to the website. SELF CARE

By purchasing a ticket to Seven Sisters Festival the Holder agrees that:

  • I am fully responsible for my state of health, be it physical, mental, emotional and spiritual upon my arrival and throughout the Festival. 
  • I am responsible for choosing to attend workshops, presentations and engage in experiences that are of interest to me without knowing exactly what content will be delivered or how I may respond and/or react to this content.
  • I am responsible for my experience and how I respond and/or react to any such experiences during the Festival.
  • It is my responsibility to ask or call for support if I need it.
  • If I have a viral or bacterial illness they should stay at home to keep from infecting others.
  • Understand that I must bring enough shelter to survive the duration of their stay at the Festival
  • Holders acknowledge that they are physically able to participate in events and associated activities at the venue, and that they have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional.

 

INHERENT RISKS

Holders acknowledge that participating in the Festival has inherent dangers and risks, including a risk of serious injury or even death. In the event of injury or illness Seven Sisters Festival may, at the cost of the holder, arrange medical treatment and/or emergency evacuation as deemed essential for the safety of the holder. Seven Sisters Festival accepts no liability for any injury, claim or damages resulting from any medical treatment on-site.

Commercial, promotional, fundraising, campaigning and trading activities, including private events, are not permitted at the venue without the express prior written permission of Seven Sisters Festival.

Seven Sisters Festival accepts no responsibility for goods or services purchased from/provided by third party traders.

SERVICES:

Purchasers and holders accept that the internet, temporary mobile phone towers and other utilities including, but not limited to, power, gas, toilets and water are not always reliable and that system outages and interruptions may occur and this is not a cause for refund.

CLAIMS & COMPENSATION

To the full extent permitted by law, holders waive all legal rights of action (on behalf of themselves, their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns) against and fully release Seven Sisters Festival, its agents, employees, contributors, members and volunteers for all claims for compensation for loss, damage, injury (including, but not limited to, bodily injury, mental anguish, emotional distress, sickness, disease), molestation (including, but not limited to, assault, interference, bullying, abuse) or death howsoever arising out of or in relation to the holder’s participation in the Festival. This includes, without limitation, liability for any negligent or tortious act or omission on the part of the persons released, or under statute or for breach of these terms and conditions.

WARNING: If the holder participates in these activities, the holder’s rights to sue the supplier under the Fair Trading Act 1999 if the holder is killed or injured because the activities were not supplied with due care and skill, or were not reasonably fit for their purpose, are excluded, restricted or modified in the way set out in or on this notice.

VOLUNTEER/ HEALER & READER COMMITMENT TICKET AGREEMENT PROCESS

All Volunteers, Healers & Readers are offered the opportunity of committing to being involved without having to prepay a full ticket fee and then undergo a refund. All Volunteers, Healers & Readers agree when securing their ticket that they will be back charged on their credit card if they do not fulfil their shifts the price of a full fee ticket $350 + $100 admin fee. 

PRESENTER TICKET AGREEMENT PROCESS:

Once a presenter has agreed to be involved and secured a ticket, no refunds will be issued. The ticket fee will cover the costs of cancellation and the subsequent involvement of administration staff, marketing staff, web admin staff, graphic design staff and talent management staff to amend timetable and marketing material.

Assistants will be refunded their ticket if their Presenter cancels.

Presenter tickets cannot be on-sold. Presenters cannot arrange for another to take their position. 

 SEVEN SISTERS FESTIVAL WELCOMES ALL WOMEN.

Seven Sisters Festival welcomes all women, including: women of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD), women of transgender, intersex and diverse sexualities, women of diverse abilities, and women of diverse religious backgrounds and belief. Our position is one of full participation in what is a large, public event. We recognise the diversity of our community and will be working within a framework of affirmative action and self-determination.

Conditions of the Seven Sisters site can vary due to unforeseeable weather. Conditions of the site can compromise access to women of diverse abilities.  AUDIO & VISUAL RECORDINGS

Still cameras (not professional) are permitted but images may only be used for private purposes and not public display and under no circumstances to be used to promote other events without written permission. By purchasing tickets and attending the event patrons offer consent to be included in film and sound recordings of the event and for these recordings to be used by the event organiser and partners. If individuals wish not to be recognised by film or camera it is the individual’s responsibility to leave details at the information tent and a photo will be taken of specified individuals to identify patrons for our records. Footage of these individuals will then not be used.

 BEHAVIOUR

Community standards of behaviour are expected and persons deemed to be behaving in a manner that is dangerous or unacceptable to Management will be refused admission and/or removed from the premises.

 As guests on the premises are asked to adhere to a “no full nudity” policy. Unclothed guests will be requested to dress and if persistent in their behaviour, they will be escorted offsite.

 PROHIBITED ITEMS: The following items are prohibited on the event grounds: No illegal, dangerous or menacing items. No pyrotechnics, single use plastics, firecrackers, sparklers or flares. No dogs or pets (guide dogs only excepted). Footwear must be worn at all times on the site.

 The Promoter cares for the environment and community. Please be respectful and place any litter in the bins provided around the venue.
